About Idaho Liberty Project

Why This Project Exists

Government authority affects every Idahoan — yet many people feel disconnected from how decisions are actually made.

Laws, resolutions, and policies are often discussed using complex language, procedural shortcuts, or partisan framing that makes meaningful understanding difficult for everyday citizens. As a result, many people only encounter government decisions after they are already finalized.

The Idaho Liberty Project exists to close that gap.

Our purpose is to make government power visible, understandable, and accountable by explaining how authority is exercised — and where civic liberty begins.

What We Do

The Idaho Liberty Project is an educational resource focused on civic understanding in Idaho.

Our work includes:

  • Plain-language analysis of legislation and resolutions
We break down bills, joint resolutions, and ballot measures so people can understand what is being proposed — without legal jargon or political spin.

  • Explanations of authority and process
We clarify which decisions are made at the state level, which involve federal authority, and where constitutional limits apply.

  • Data-driven examination of participation
We examine population, voter eligibility, registration, and turnout to help explain how representation functions in practice.

  • Public-facing civic education
Our content is designed for everyday Idahoans — not policy insiders — and is intended to inform, not persuade.

What We Are Not

The Idaho Liberty Project is not:

  • A political party

  • A lobbying organization

  • A campaign, PAC, or candidate platform

  • An endorsement group

We do not tell people how to vote.
We do not advocate for specific candidates or parties.

Our role is informational: to provide clarity so individuals can draw their own conclusions.

Our Principles

Our work is guided by a small set of core principles:

  • Transparency over persuasion

  • Facts over headlines

  • Education over activism

  • Liberty through understanding

We believe civic liberty is strongest when people understand how authority operates — not when information is withheld, simplified into slogans, or framed to influence outcomes.

Who Is Behind the Project

The Idaho Liberty Project is maintained by Idaho residents committed to civic education, transparency, and constitutional literacy.

This project exists independently and is focused on providing information that allows citizens to engage — or disengage — with government from an informed position.

Why This Matters

Government decisions apply to everyone, not just those who participate in elections or follow politics closely.

Understanding how power is exercised — and who participates in those decisions — is essential to preserving accountability, liberty, and self-governance.

The Idaho Liberty Project exists to make that understanding accessible..
